• Assembly: unicameral, 120-seat Assembly (Kuvendi i Kosoves/Skupstina Kosova) 

Electoral System:  

• The President is indirectly elected to serve a 5-year term by the Assembly.  

• The Prime Minister is indirectly elected by the Assembly.  

• 100 of the 120 members of the assembly are directly elected via an open-list proportional representation system to serve four-year terms. 10 seats are guaranteed for candidates representing the Kosovo Serb community and 10 seats are guaranteed to candidates representing the Roma, Ashkali, Egyptian, Bosnian, Turkish, and Gorani communities.  

Last Election: 

The last election for the Kosovar Assembly was held on 9 February 2025. The Vetëvendosje! Party won 48 seats, the Democratic Party of Kosovo won 24 seats, and the Democratic League of Kosovo won 20. All other parties won less than 10 seats. Voter turnout was 47%.
