  • The Presidency and Vice Presidency of Ghana 

The parliamentary election will be held concurrently. 

 

  • Chief of State: President Nana Addo Dankwa AKUFO-ADDO (since 7 January 2017) 

  • Head of Government: President Nana Addo Dankwa AKUFO-ADDO (since 7 January 2017) 

  • Assembly: unicameral 275-seat Parliament 

 

  • The President is elected by majority vote in up to 2 rounds to a 4-year term, once renewable. 

  • All 275 members of Parliament are elected by plurality vote in single-seat constituencies to 4-year terms. 

 

In the last election in 2020, Nana Addo Dankwa AKUFO-ADDO (New Patriotic Party) won in the first round with 51% of the vote. Voter turnout was 79%.
