Ethiopia will hold parliamentary elections in June 2026.
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) must make an “official declaration” of results within 10 days after election day under Article 62(1) of Proclamation No. 1162/2019 (Electoral, Political Parties Registration and Election's Code of Conduct), extendable up to 20 days if constituency-level complaints delay declaration under Article 62(2). Polling-station results must be posted within one hour after counting under Article 61(1), and constituency results must be publicly announced within 5 days after the end of voting under Article 61(2). Complaints relating to vote counting and results follow the appeal chain in Article 155, culminating in a Federal Supreme Court decision within one month
