In the House of Representatives, 41 members are directly elected by absolute majority vote in single-seat constituencies, and an additional 22 members are directly elected via a closed-list proportional representation system. All 63 members serve 5-year terms without term limits.
In the 2020 legislative election, the People’s Democratic Party won a majority with 47 seats. Five other parties also won seats, and voter turnout was 86%.
