  • The Presidency and Vice Presidency of Ecuador 

The election for the National Assembly will be held concurrently.  

  • Chief of State: President Daniel NOBOA Azin (since 23 November 2023) 

  • Head of Government: President Daniel NOBOA Azin (since 23 November 2023) 

  • Assembly: unicameral National Assembly with 137 seats 

  • The President is directly elected by absolute majority vote in up to two rounds and may serve up to two 4-year terms, cumulatively. 

  • In the National Assembly, 116 members are elected by plurality vote in single-seat constituencies. An additional 15 are elected by proportional representation in a single nationwide constituency, and the remaining 6 are elected by plurality vote in multi-seat constituencies representing citizens abroad. All 137 members serve 4-year terms.  

In the snap presidential election of 2023, Daniel NOBOA Azin (Revolución Ciudadana) won in the second round with 52% of the vote. Voter turnout was 82%.
