• The President of Kyrgyzstan, who is elected for a five-year term and may serve up to two terms, is elected using a two-round system in which voters casts a single ballot to elect their preferred candidate. If no candidate receives a simple majority, a run-off election is held between the two highest grossing candidates. 
• The Supreme Council of Kyrgyzstan (Jogorku Kenesh) is a unicameral body consisting of 90 deputies elected to serve five-year terms. Employing a mixed electoral system, 54 deputies of the Supreme Council are elected in a single constituency according to a proportional system, while the remaining 36 deputies are elected in single-mandate constituencies under the majoritarian system.
