General Information
The Chadian National Assembly elections slated for 24 October 2021 were not held as announced. The Independent National Electoral Commission has rescheduled the elections five times since 2015, having previously cited ongoing regional security threats, insufficient state funding, and COVID-19 as grounds for election postponement [1]. The Chadian authorities are yet to announce a sixth iteration of the elections.
This election had originally been postponed due to COVID-19 [2].
